Bidra med feedbackSmall town dining at its finest. Looking in the car on yelp for somewhere to eat, landed us here. Iowa has pork tenderloin sandwiches on the menu everywhere and this place has one too. They are redoing the highway, so it's tucked away by a residential area. Ordered pork tenderloin breaded, no bun with tomato and lettuce. Also fried pickle spears with homemade ranch. The pickles were homemade and breaded and ranch was homemade. The pork tenderloin was good, but could taste the grease a little. Needed mayo, but I used mustard and extra ranch. The tomato was fresh looking, no pale store bought tomato here. Ate the rest of pickles the next morning for breakfast at hotel. The owner worked on the railroad and was super nice and personable. Decor: carpet on floors, but clean. Crafty, saloon doors going to bar area. Needs updating. Seemed made from scratch type of place. Support local business! Review 87 in 2023.

Found this stop via google search and it did not disappoint! The owner was very friendly and welcoming, as were the rest of the locals dining in. Service was very good and our breakfast was excellent! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
The owner waited on me and talked to me the whole time. It was a very nice meal and excellent conversation. You can tell how much pride the owner has in his buisness and in his hometown. I’d go out of my way to eat here again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
