Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Florence

I'm going up and down on the east coast. Every time I'm in SC, I'm here at least once. Staff here are welcoming and ingenious. I love the food. You have a really good choice. At the moment they make some repairs to the place and they are something under personnel. They are also patient and friendly, so the good outweighs the bad. I would definitely recommend.

Delicious food! I ordered a pulled pork plate with sides of Cole slaw and green beans. The green beans were so tender they practically melted in my mouth. I wish I lived nearby because I would be a regular here!

Delicious BBQ. Price was ok. Not huge portion size. Good selection of meats. Very nice staff. Facility was just the tiniest bit run down. I enjoyed my meal very much.

The staff were VERY friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was great! The facility is run down and not the cleanest. Enjoyed our dinner and the customer service in spite of the condition of the building and furnishings.

Decided to get dinner from here while we were staying at a hotel across the street. I haven't eaten here in a long time, so I thoroughly enjoyed a side of baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and mac n cheese paired with their dinner rolls. We also got a half brownie half cookie a la mode (although the soft serve ice cream looked more like chips of ice after getting it out of our hotel room freezer). Overall there were a few red flags I noticed with our experience that made me realize we probably shouldn't have come there. First off our meal overall was very expensive, even with a coupon code. Also, when we got to the drive thru, the employee couldn't open the window all the way (it looked stuck). Then their internet was down, so they couldn't even see that we placed an online order to pick up. Because my mom didn't have her phone to pull up the confirmation email, we had to drive all the way back to our hotel just to pick it up. Then it took longer than it should have to get the order ready to go. We also got 2 small drinks but considering that they were $2 per cup, we wished we got a bigger sized drink. The food was good but their service was subpar at best.
