The At Golden Oaks - Fleetwood

This restaurant was very average. I ordered the chicken salad platter, expecting it to have grapes in it as I like them. However, what I got looked more like sad olives. The fruit on the platter seemed either old, out of season, or canned. It would be better to offer this dish in the summer when the fruit is in season. Some of the fruit even looked wrinkled or moldy, and the grape stems were dry. Overall, the menu was unexciting and I wouldn't return to this spot.

I would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars. The food was pretty good, but nothing exceptional. I ordered the NY strip steak, which was cooked perfectly but quite fatty. My husband had the prime rib sandwich, which was okay. The highlight of the meal was the fries, they were delicious! The staff were very friendly, which I always appreciate.

The Thanksgiving buffet was subpar and the service was dreadful. It was evident that they were understaffed for the number of reservations they had. The turkey was not carved from the bird and there was a lack of dark meat and gravy. When we requested more gravy, we were instructed to scoop it from the meat tray. They were constantly running out of food and appeared to be struggling to keep up. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for a holiday meal.

We had my daughter's baby shower here, and it was incredible from start to finish! Ri and her staff helped us plan, and answered every question I had from her. She was extremely helpful, and there the whole time during the event. We had about 40 people, and Ri and staff had the appetizers, meal and drinks served like a dream. They were there to focus on us and our party, and you could tell. The food was wonderful and plentiful. They let us in early to decorate and offered to help even with that. I can say enough good things. Everyone was extremely impressed, and my daughter was blown away. Can't wait until the restaurant is open for regular dining during golf season. Can't wait until I have another event to plan, so I can use Ri and her restaurant/venue. Can't thank the enough for how perfect everything was. Go here!!!

Disappointing Thanksgiving buffet. The taste and visual appeal of the buffet was not what was expected compared to other times we had eaten at this restaurant both for dinner and large group gatherings. We were charged for drinks that we did not have, and when this was pointed out the waitress insisted they were served. A 20% service charge was added when everything, except drinks, were self serve.
