I’m giving these guys 5 stars, despite the negative reviews, and I’ll explain why: Although their Chinese bbq isn’t the greatest around, it’s still rather tasty if you get the right one, and considering I got it when they weren’t fully set up, that’s ok with me. The fish n chips are actually fairly good, BUT their burgers? Now, considering a lot of other takeaway joints in south Auckland cost an average $7-$8 for a standard cheeseburger, these guys only charge $5.80 and they’re MUCH better than your standard takeaway burg. A sweet, tangy slaw, and the mushroom one has GOOD chunks of mushies in there. Not only that, but I’m sure they make their own Pattie’s because they’re pretty hefty and flavourful. The wontons? Some of the BEST crispy wontons I’ve had! Light crispy wrapper that has a delicate texture, and loaded with ginger spring onion porky goodness.
