Bidra med feedbackA simple no frills classic fish and chips spot serving quality food that's value for money . We popped into this take aways on a whim around lunch time on a recent public holiday . The store is clean and service quite efficient despite the large holiday crowd. We had the hake, snoek and calamari all accompanied by chips. Everything was super fresh the fish was covered in a lovely batter and the calamari was well cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal .
Just popped in and ordered a Hake Roll R20!! <br/ Absolutely yummy and fall apart fresh! <br/ Best value for money for a quick lunch in Fish Hoek....<br/ Friendly service and the cleanest shop I've ever seen. The fish cakes are amazeballs as well!!<br/ (Closed on Sundays)
Delicious fish and chips! Too bad this place is take-away only—there is no seating inside. Even after being wrapped in paper until we could eat, it was still very good. With the fish and chips being wrapped together, it made the chips soft but I'm one that doesn't bother. Next time I'll need to remember to ask for a box instead. Good price at R46 for the hake and chips.
Fish Hoek Fisheries The Real Deal<br/ <br/ Fish Hoek Fisheries, situated on Main Road in Fish Hoek, is a well know, well liked and locally well supported Fish and chipper. This renowned eatery serves up probably the best take away fish and chips in the Valley.<br/ <br/ The Hake and Chips (R 44.00) and the Fish Cakes (R 9.00) are a must. The Fish served is fresh, the light golden brown crisp batter is excellent and the chips done to slap chip perfection. Portions are more than adequate. Salt and vinegar added and then packed and wrapped the traditional cafe style. (Please note If left wrapped up for too long, the batter sticks to the paper and you end up with half your fish batter less and naked)<br/ <br/ Fish Hoek Fisheries counter staff are always efficient and polite. The owner is always present and keeps a watch full eye over proceedings. A big bonus. The venue itself is always clean and tidy<br/ <br/ There are however a few minor issues that one needs to take into account. Parking in Fish Hoek Main Road is always a problem. Friday nights are hectically busy queues out the door busy so be prepared to stand around waiting for your order (No seating available). There is no sea view to keep you entertained either (Referring to Lucky Fish and Chips in Kalk Bay).<br/ <br/ In Summary To reiterate, probably the best take away Fish and Chips in the Fish Hoek Valley. Unfortunately maybe just not the best street address or location in Town. Big pity.<br/ Please note Fish Hoek Fisheries is Not open on Sundays.<br/ <br/ Thanking You for all the many meals served.<br/ Mr.G Marcus Gibbons
