This is the second restaurant where I have seen ton del chianti which is a joke because chianti doesn 't have fish! It is actually a pulled pork on Ceci cream sauce that was very good. It is worth looking for this restaurant to get you away from the well traveled tourist sites. The food is creative, well presented and well priced.I had the Vegetarian platter which had vegetable tortino, potato salad, orzo salad, and orange salad. Very filling very good. Service was fast and efficient. They have specials, a first with water, is 6 E and second with water is 7 Euros. Beer is 3 Euros. Price and food perfect for lunch.
We had the fried yolk on cream of brie and crispy specks of bacon and boy was the delicious, we shared as it sounded rich. Disappointed in the pork tenderloin but the cheese cake Italian style was devine. It was a bit of walk to get there from historical Florence. When we went there were few people so the ambiance was lacking but the service was good. We booked through Fork and it was 25% off at the time which made it a very reasonable night considering the quality of the food.
We asked for a table for two at 7.00 pm at the last saturday in october. Restaurant was booked out for this evening but the team offered us a table until 8.30 and it was perfect! The eating and service was superior and the best dinner we had in one week in florence. Please go on with this kindness and quality we will come over and over again when we will visit florence again!
