Bidra med feedbackI spent a month in Florence and found this place, the High Bar. I went several times because of the friendly staff, Luigi and Laura, the great food, drinks, coffee, and cozy atmosphere… Not to be missed when visiting Florence. Marina Abdullah Texas
Spent a week in the St Niccolò district of Florence recently and this place quickly became our local, not least because of its charismatic host Luigi. This bar is anything but touristy but we were made to feel more than welcome and very much part of the neighbourhood crowd with Luigi introducing us to any locals who dropped by, and encouraging us to help ourselves to free nibbles on the bar while chatting in impeccable English (he lived a while in London) about anything from politics to the '90s rave scene. A class act!
Normally I’m on here to write negative reviews but this time I thought Luigi at High Bar should get some props for his excellent service (after 1 visit he already knew my drink and made me feel like a regular , great snacks (I’ve actually made his free bar food dinner a few times it was THAT good! , and excellent taste in background music (so good I got up and danced after only 1 drink lol . If you are near the Ponte Vecchio area you should stop by the High Bar and get an VERY reasonably priced drink, great snack food, and wonderful service. You’ll feel like a local :
Very nice and cozy place, beautiful day spent in company also thanks to the professionalism and sympathy of luigo who knew how to entertain us (they are not nice are not cool but are called to him)
We loved the delicious pastas, the cosy place, the kind staff and a memorable grappa. Greetings from Budapest.
