Baglioni - Firenze

Iconic hotel that is perfectly situated in Firenze. Room was spotless. Reception staff were always smiling greeting us as we walked past . Lift has been modernised from original to include key card plate for accessing accommodation rooms . Rooms have also been modernised to activate by touching key card . All very high tech. However the hotel has failed spectacularly when it comes to WiFi. This was none existent was hugely disappointing that a hotel of this quality had not addressed this deficiency, even though it is mentioned time time again in the comment reviews. I suspect that the management are ignoring this feedback focusing just on the positive comments. The breakfast in the dining room was a real treat , with picturesque views over the Duomo from big windows. The buffet layout has not been well thought out as there is a lot of congestion on the buffet line. The rooftop bar is excellent with great seating wonderful views. Good idea to wear bright colour clothing so the waiting staff can notice you when trying to get their attention. The service was very slow with only a few customers, probably down to cocktail requests not enough staff . One other thing that was strange were the power outlets . I have various power adapters that have worked all over Europe every place in Italy I have visited, but they would not fit into any wall power outlet in the Hotel . I had to purchase a specific power adapter with 3 pins that I was able to use. Overall it was a great place I enjoyed the hotel the visit. It is a great shame that the hotel has a reluctance to improve the WiFi connection for its customers. At €350 per night , I expect to be able to use my IPhone . I have listed all these points in the survey form addressed this to Mr Antonio, the general manager.

Grand Hotel Baglioni is a beautiful hotel in a very convenient location. It is just a short walk from the train station and the popular attractions. The rooftop restaurant and bar had excellent food, service, and amazing views. The underground tunnel right outside the hotel's main entrance leads directly to the train terminal.

Abbiamo deciso di pranzare per la prima volta al B Roof, ambiente accogliente e panoramico, ottimo il servizio dell ' impeccabile Claudio e del suo staff, gentile e professionale, poca attesa tra le comande, eccellente e stato il Brasato di manzo con purè . Ottima scelta nei vini. Siamo stati bene.

Uno dei migliori ristoranti sul tetto di Firenze. Elegante, con una vista unica al mondo. Ottima qualità del cibo, dalla tartare di manzo ai ravioli del Mugello alla guancia di vitello. Tutto eccellente, compresi i dolci e i vini tra cui il Chianti Classico.
