Bidra med feedbackI travelled from Dundee to visit this restaurant, as I had a pleasant experience in the past. However, this time the tearoom was closed without any notice or explanation. When I called, a man said they were closed because of the rain, but would be open the next day. This did not make sense to me, as people often seek shelter in a tearoom during bad weather. My journey was wasted and my two guests were disappointed. If you are not willing to open in rainy weather in Scotland, perhaps running a tearoom is not for you. I have seen rude responses to poor reviews before, but I would have likely given a better review if the tearoom had been open. When you run a cafe or tearoom, it is important to be open in all weather conditions, unless there is a valid reason such as a leaky roof.
Today, we visited a restaurant with the simple intention of having a cup of tea. We found a few staff members to be very friendly and personable. However, when our order arrived and all we received was a cup of tea, it was disappointing. The tea was served in a rushed manner and didn't leave a good impression. The restaurant only had around 10 customers at the time, which may explain why it was quieter than other establishments along the seafront.
A family of five, including their dog, visited this tearoom for afternoon tea. The staff was friendly and the owner was very attentive, willingly accommodating all requests. The cakes, scones, and sandwiches were all incredibly fresh, and there were unlimited pots of tea available. The owner was also eager for feedback and called after their visit to ensure everything was satisfactory. They wish the tearoom success in the future.
We visited a couple of weeks ago when out for a drive. We loved the china cups and saucers. Made the tea taste better. My wife had a hot scone with Jam and clotted cream. I had a slice of madeira cake. Both tasted great. A brilliant tea room and we're sure to visit again
We decided to try this little tearoom for a snack type lunch. It is a very nice place, decorated in fifties fashion, lovely china cups and plates, fifties music playing, and a wall covered in fifties actors in their heyday. We had soup and bread, followed by scones, which were warmed up and a big pot of tea. All was nicely served with a smile.
