Bidra med feedbackThe place is nice, very friendly staff. as for food, apart from a delicious dessert a tart of cream and fresh fruit the rest (which I, of course, that is the appetizer of curly and, above all, pappardelle with wild boar) was without infamy and without praise, especially if commisurate at the price. I understand that doing a job so that it costs a shot, but in the kitchen, even with little, you can do better. I would suggest serving Tuscan bread, white.
More amazing place with fantastic views over florence. take time to drink in the garden before eating. Eating is really good and well presented.
Eating at La Loggia-the fine dining restaurant in the Villa San Michele, located in the hills above Florence in Fiesole, was an amazing experience. We arrived early, but one of the managers, Eleonora, was so gracious and gave us a tour of the hotel and then offered us a Prosecco while they readied our table. The wait staff was top-notch. You have a choice of one of the tasting menus—which range from €190-140. Another option is to choose 2 a la carte items, plus dessert. We chose to order a la carte. Everything is gorgeously presented on custom-made ceramics. My first dish was the Camelia floreale—a luscious combo of tiny shrimp, nectarines, and juniper. It was wonderful. My partner chose the Mugellani—ravioli with potatoes. But first they brought in an array of breads and grissini—scrumptious! My second dish was a kind of risotto-like dish made of spelt—and ancient grain grown locally. My husband chose the risotto. Both were scrumptious! In between each dish and after dessert we were presented with amuses bouche. Their tastes exploded in the mouth! The views were spectacular. Fiesole is cooler than Florence, so bring a wrap.
A beautiful setting with stunning views, fabulous food and excellent service. We opted for the degustation with wine pairing and the Sommelier took us on a journey through Italy. The entire experience however was severely affected by the intense heat that Florence and Tuscany experiences over the summer. This entire week was over 35 degrees Celsius and next week and beyond even hotter. For the sake of the comfort of both your staff and patrons, it is irresponsible of Management to make no adjustments to the surroundings. No fans, no cold towels, staff were sweltering in jackets, shirts and ties. It’s impossible to enjoy your meal whilst you have perspiration dripping down your back. I’m from Australia and we deal with al fresco dining and n the heat all the time, in restaurants of much lower price and quality than this. Otherwise a superb restaurant.
We took a long time to get here, getting lost in super narrow lanes, negotiating steep slopes and sharp curves to arrive at this restaurent. Not a drive for the faint hearted! The restaurent treated us to amazing views, great friendly service and good food. We appreciated their creativity and good sense of culinary balance. And the building was a special heritage treat too. You can see that it was a monastery before and the original cement finish was retained. Thanks to Michelangelo. A wonderful meal experience!
