Bidra med feedbackYou know it was okay. clean, warm and comfortable enough. and a tad cell like, but the parking was safe and the service friendly. but do not book them unless they are in order with views of industrial real estate, factory units and oil refineries because that was that they remain! oh, and the restaurant is not at the weekend. so they are offered a buffet that fits some, but not others. do not go to the restaurant solaize steak near. that would be a mistake.
I mentioned this already in my review of the hotel campanile lyon sude feyzin: I have some of the best eating items of our whole holiday here! I would never have expected it during a simple overnight on the route du soleil to france. our booking for the hotel included dinner and breakfast. the breakfast itself was great: great selection, good quality. In the evening, we allowed a choice of a few meal times (unless we paid a bit extra to go outside our booked package.) I had a big flat dish, my wife had the lamb (dender and juicy! the restaurant may not look very glamorous, but eating is all there!
Over at night on the way south. the rooms were clean and comfortable as previous campaniles. biscuits were available in our room. restaurant had limited menu because it was a Sunday night. 3 courses, buffet starters and dessert and the choice of two main courses (no vegetarian option, but. they could have great salat for a main course.) very good value and better offer than in the main menu, so no complaining. confit de porc or sete pie (squid and tomaten.) both were very nice and tasty and the fries were fresh. laure, was exceptionally attentive, a loan to the hotel and looked at us well. the location would be tricky without finding a satnav and we still went wrong! based on an industrial area, seemed a little strange, but lyon is a big city and it was close to the main road to go to the city or to leave to the south. parking is free and plentiful. safe at night with a closed tor. some garden area for children to get some exercise or pets, it seemed dog friendly. would stay again if only the host to see.
Strange place for a campanile next to a power plant with signs in the surrounding streets in case of need. we were greeted by a locked reception (the opening hours displayed were not adhered to) and a phone number to the ring for help. the automatic one-booking machine did not work so it was no option. Weekend restaurant menu was not available no choice was a set menu or nothing! unless they were french and were able to wipe their way through with mention allergies etc. and the wange naturally. that did a French couple. now our language skills in france have been quite good there for 15 years at a point, but we did not have the wange to do it! we will avoid in future this special hotel.
You know it was okay. Clean, warm and comfortable enough. Formulaic and a tad cell like but the parking was secure and the service friendly. But don't book unless you're okay with views of industrial estates, factory units and oil refineries because that's were you'll...be staying! Oh, and the restaurant 'isn't' on weekends... So you'll be offered a buffet which may suit some but not others. Do not go to the Solaize steak restaurant nearby. That would be a mistake
