Bidra med feedbackFor a surf family of four on a mature budget, this place is a goldmine. we surfed all morning through coffee and good vibes. in the restaurant, when the doors open to hit the crowd and refueled on rustic Portuguese bbq huhn. and rice. the box that the red wine set out some low expectations, but it was really delicious! we didn't even notice the paper table cloths. $30 euro to refuel four surfers, including wine, soda and coffee. the budget safe for another day!
Here twice during 5 days visit in the baleal. go early as after 20 hours it is busy with locals. big bun and rip huge portions beautiful homemade desserts also. also the salates good and the prices for eating are so reasonable, the 15...minute walk from baleal.
The 4 of us enjoyed delicious grilled chicken, pork, tomato salad and a liter delicious white house wine. in this restaurant there are no window clothing, it is about eating. fortunately we were early at the opening of 19h, because around 19,45h the place was packed with people waiting outside. Many Portuguese eats here too and takes with its seperate entrance running non-stop. Do not go here if they want a romantic candlelight dinner, they go here if they like some of the best grilled food they will ever have with friends and family. it is a lively, flowering place with great ambiente, very friendly staff, served wonderful eating at a low price. enjoys!
So good that me and my other half now go on Friday's for takeaway chicken potatoes and garlic rice after a cycle or surf. So tasty! Might not look flashy or over presented but it tastes phenomenal. Delicious! The food speaks for itself and it...is super affordable too. Yum LJ and Alex (scotland)
After finding our regular churrasqueira closed last night, we decided to go searching for this place (which we have tried to find a couple of times). My boyfriend and I were the only diners in the restaurant for the first 15mins but it was full...when we left. On arrival we were directed to choose between two tables set up for two people, one directly under the serving counter and one up against the door, we opted for the later which meant that the door hit the back of my boyfriends chair every time somebody entered the restaurant. Our waitress was pretty brash and didn’t waste any time on pleasantries. We weren’t expecting silver service but neither did we expect to be made to feel uncomfortable. After ordering, our food arrived to our table within 5 minutes and I noticed that this was consistently the case with other groups. The portion was large but lacking in quality, fatty ribs, greasy fries and overly oily rice. We were hungry and finished most of our food and then waited for about 15minutes for the bill. The restaurant was very busy buy this point but there was a distinct lack of attentive service. It’s a real shame as we were desperate to love this place as an alternative to our regular spot. unfortunately it fell short of expectations and it’s unlikely we will return in a hurry.
