Garden Street Bistro - Fernandina Beach

Our experience from start to finish was awful. We got there and were told that we would be seated within a few minutes. Almost 30 minutes later, several parties parties who arrived after us had been seated. We were finally able to get the attention of the hostess who had walked away and she apologized for forgetting about us.This hostess also told us that the pizza menu was available for lunch, but after we were seated, the waitress told us that pizza was not offered until after 4 pm.So we ordered veggie quesadillas. When the food finally came it was shrimp quesadillas. Frustrated and no longer wanting to be there, we told the waitress that we were going to cancel the quesadilla order and just pay for the drinks that we had ordered. On the way out, the owner’s mom stopped us and told us never to come back to the restaurant because we had canceled the order.This was the worst customer service, from the hostess to the waitress to the owner’s mom. Very disappointed all around as it looked like a cute spot—from the outside. On the inside it looks like a grade school cafeteria

Intentionally escaping from the hotel’s breakfast we found this little cute house. The food was great, the service was ok but overall a good place to try if you are in this gorgeous town.

The service here was fantastic. The downside was the food wasn’t as fabulous as I had hoped. I ordered a piece of French toast which was good. But I also ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and it came out with sliced up cheese on top. The flavor of the eggs was good but I ended up not even eating the cheese cause it was just tossed on top.

My wife and I have been looking for a new place to call it our spot and we finally found it! The food is the best I 've had since moving to the area, service was great and the design of the place is welcoming. Definitely recommend it and this place has found new customers.

I was expecting a lot more because the restaurant is chef owned. My crabcake omelet was actually very good, tomatoes were not needed. The potatoes, although only a side, were terrible. With the price of the omelet, the whole meal should be great. $22 for an omelet? Yeah, the whole meal should slap. Steak and eggs was nothing special. Again, price, expecting great food, was SUPER bland. I would likely give this place another try just because it deserves that from the omelet but other people may not be so forgiving. Maybe the chef isn't preparing the meals anymore and if so, maybe he/she should be. Service and ambience were super great!
