Raj Indian - Fermoy

SIx of us ate here one night and we were all very pleased with the quality and taste of the food we ordered.

The Raj was very good when I visited a few years ago. No longer authentic Punjabi food. The different dishes on the menu all taste vary similar. Needs to have a few dishes prepared individually instead.

We were greeting at the Door by staff who were very mannerly and helpful as we did not book it wasn't a problem . We had to wait 10 minutes I asked about the tandoor oven and was asked if I wanted to see it. The kitchen was the cleanest I've ever seen as I used to work in catering myself. This kitchen was spotless . All fresh vegetables ect being cut for each meal. I was amazed these people really care about the taste and freshness of the food . Not a microwave in sight . We had a little bitof a wait our order but seeing the care that goes into each meal I can understand why. And that is explained to you as you order. And omg it was worth the wait .. Best I've ever had I've lived in London for years and this is the best I've had in Ireland . An easy 5 stars

Visited this restaurant last night.we have visited this restaurant on many occasions and always found the food to be delicious and good value for money, unfortunately I must say last night was our worst meal ever there.all the chicken dishes we got were dried to the last.service was excellent. We were a bit disappointed when we got our bill as everything in it was extra.the dish my wife went for is a dry dish with a sauce on the side.She asked could she change this to a korma sauce.we asked for extra garlic on the nan bread ,we were charged extra for both items.my wife's meal included sauce so I can't understand this.on leaving we weren't asked was everything OK.i think there must be new owners here as this was a great restaurant before.will not be going back.

Food is always Top Class we go quite Often but try to keep a gap between visits because we want to keep it a special treat, we could Honestly eat there every day . I asked one time about the tandoor oven and I was invited to a tour of the kitchen which was immaculate, and this was on the spot . all veg prepared fresh and separate containers stainless steel was shiny as new. The staff was so pleasant and helpful check on us and for anything we needed. At one time a rude customer was sitting at the opposite side to my husband and I and I could see the poor guy's face whatever they said upset him. But he handled it with poise and Dignity ..I gave him a smile . wish people treated the staff half as well as the staff treat the customers
