Bidra med feedbackIndian dish at par excellence I was recommended by my friend in Melbourne who ate here on his last visit. I was eagerly looking at it when we planned trip to Sydney. It is medium size restaurant in potts point but very well maintained. We were greeted by lovely waitress at gate. Interior decoration were average but cozy. We noticed good vibes and tables were almost full. Menu was beautifully designed. Something that intrigued me that, it is BRITISH INDIAN CUISINE. We started with lamb samosa, and Spicy Egg Plant. It was so delicious. Lamb Vindaloo was so well spiced that, I sweat but never stopped eating. Standoff dish was Chicken Jalfrezi. Naans were very good.Service and ambience is good too. We loved background music which was soft. With such food and staff, this restaurant should be on must visit list for every tourist and locals.
After having a friend get sick from eating at this restaurant I thought I would tell my story of what I know of this restaurant (from the inside)...They have had City of Sydney Health Inspectors close them down due to an infestation of Cockroaches!!! I’m not talkin a few here and there, I’m talking 100’s!!! Everywhere!!!! They also had meat lying around and uncovered on benches for hours on end (this possibly being the cause of my friends food poisoning). I have seen the chef with my own eyes on NUMEROUS occasions use the same spoon to taste test dishes!!!! This spoon never being clean and going from his mouth to the dish and back on the bench. They have no idea about hygiene or anything in that place!!! I’ve barely seen them use gloves. I don’t know how City of Sydney allowed them to reopen??? Maybe they paid them money to keep quiet and not record it??? Who knows. But the place is filthy. Wouldn’t eat there for your own safety guys. P.S. I can confirm that majority of the 5 Star reviews have been written by themselves under different alias.
Wow, just awesome food. We accidentally find this restaurant while on tour. Malai kofta is one of the best dish that we had anywhere. Chicken butter masala and lamb rogan josh was very good. Waitress put up great effort and we had one of amazing dinner. On top of that, price is very affordable. If you are in and around potts point or kings cross, make your dinner plan here and I am sure, you won't regret.
Such a wonderful experience ! Food was amazing. Really good service. The waitress was lovely. Indian music and TV as well to enjoy the dinner. We had a great time.
For many years, Potts Point has not had a reasonably priced, cooked to order Indian restaurant. One Mb has great service and delicious food. Come on, give it a try!
