Bidra med feedbackYou need to go to this restaurant! The food was delicious and their cocktail list is killer. Try the aubergine, I am not typically a fan but the way it was prepared was amazing! They have a great space for private functions as well.
Came here with friends for dinner after an earlier booking at another place fell through! By the end of the meal definitely felt this was the right choice. The chef was kind enough to chat to us about the meal and he was passionate about the produce in season and how he used them to create the dishes. It was a lovely touch. <br/ <br/ The menu is divided into small, medium, and large dishes as well as sweet. As there were 4 of us we got a bit off each section which is great to avoid fomo and the menu is designed exactly for that. All the dishes are designed to share and the flavour is delivered in spades. <br/ <br/ We had Popcorn Roasted Brussel Sprouts to start. The popcorn had a slight spicy kick with the jalapeño butter. Not usually a fan of brussel sprouts but these were served with cheddar and bacon. Bacon makes everything better!<br/ <br/ The Gin-Cured Salmon was presented beautifully and went down a treat. The Mac ‘N Cheese was creamy and comforting. All the good stuff in one dish. <br/ <br/ The large plates were definitely the highlights of the evening. The chef recommended the Roast Half Chicken. So glad we took him up on it as the 42 hour sugar brine allows the meat to stay succulent and flavours that develop during the cooking of it were amazing. One of most tender pieces of chicken I’ve had for ages. The Eight-Hour Beef Short Rib was falling from the bone and very delicious pieces of meat. Cornbread madeleines might be slightly dry if eaten on own when combined with the blue cheese sauce it was great. <br/ <br/ Finished with desserts served in jars. We had the Jack Daniels Chocolate Mousse and Cookies Cream “No Bake” Cheesecake. The table was divided which was their favourite. Evenly split and the Mousse was light and not too heavy with a hint of the alcohol in it. Cheesecake was equally light and had a good flavour to it. <br/ <br/ Service is friendly and helpful although not as polished as expected. Menus were left on our tables for a while after ordering.<br/ <br/ Overall great addition to the Sydney dining scene and love the seasonal produce showcased.
Amazing- food is incredible, great space also for large group private function. Service is friendly and efficient.Look out for their constantly changing chef's tasting menu
As a local resident of postcode 2010 Jack Knife has been recommended to me many times by various people and I am so glad I finally made it there. Located in bustling Stanley St the food, service and wine offerings make this a place not to miss. We tried the chefs tasting menu and it did not disappoint. We were there fairly early for dinner (6pm) so we were lucky enough to have the Chef explain each dish on the menu before it was served. The service was exemplary and the serves of matching wine were perfect and of a decent size. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re in search of a delicious meal with a chilled out, relaxed atmosphere head on in to Jack and Knife you won’t be. My favourite is the steak tartare on 3 cheese toasted sandwich with the tom tam cheesecake! Divine
Looking for good food? Search no further. At Jack Knife the food are so flavourful, you just find yourself eating and eating away. A prefect place for small to large group gathering as dishes are designed to share with family and friends. The service is wonderful and staff are attentive to your needs. My personal favourite is the Beef tartare, 3 Cheese toastie, Dijon. Must try.
