Bidra med feedbackI have always heard that Baroque does very good desserts, so last weekend we went over to sample their desserts menu. We ended up getting their Chocolate mousse and their dessert sampler. The waiters were very helpful in giving us advise on what to order. It was amazing but I liked everyone of the little dessert they served to us. My favorite has got to be the chocolate mousse but even their creme brulee was amazing ! I would highly recommend going for the sampler plate if you have a large group to share, but otherwise any other menu item is just as good.
We've been faithful Baroque fans for years. Not only because we love La Renaissance, but because of the chic dining experiences. Okay, we're biased. We will never say no to either places and are absolutely in love with their desserts. Recently we watched pastry chef Jean Michel Raynaud perform the magic on stage at the SmoothFM's Festival of Chocolate, and we are smitten! Never mind the creativity, the quality of Baroque's sweet morsels are so top-notch that we are calling it: the BEST patisseries in Sydney are at The Rocks!
This is my go-to place for a weekend brunch, excellent experience every single time. Food is top notch, as in you can tell the quality is above average and the dishes are a bit innovative too, not your standard breakfast menu. Coffee's good and service always attentive. Also really like the decor here. Haven't got a bad word to say about Baroque. Haven't tried it for dinner yet but definitely planning to do that soon!
My wife found this restaurant online and for how it presented, we booked. Having gotten there on a cold and windy Saturday night, we were welcomed warmly and taken to our table set especially as we had our baby with us too. I loved the place from top to tail. I would normally have given it a full complement of 10/10 ratings, but my wife said that two very minor things were not perfect in her eyes. She prefers more modern designs to interiors instead or the wonderful eclectic feel that Baroque provides. And the food was fabulous, but did leave the smallest room for improvement. I would not hesitate one second to return here though. I found items on the menu that I 'd been hoping to experience for years and was treated to such a skilled and great tasting preparation of them brilliant! Desserts are the weakness if my wife and I; and all night we ... how it presented, we booked. Desserts are the weakness if my wife and I; and all night we were eying off the pastry section of the kitchen and trying to choose what to indulge in. My choice of 'the pompadour ' was one of the most delicious sweets I 've ever had and so delicately constructed.
Baroque is a phenomenal restaurant. I can never fault a single step they do and having a sweet tooth, their pastry section is complete heaven. As a quick treat, their macarons are perfect and for an indulgence, their (eat-in) desserts are to die for.
