Bidra med feedbackExcellent. Delicious food, positive atmosphere, helpful staff, and brilliant service.
This is our local and we couldn’t be luckier. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are super friendly with great service. I highly recommend the chicken schnitzel and peri peri wraps. The quality here is a cut above the other options in the area.
I've stopped here a couple of times on way to nearby camp, I don't think I expect 5 star at a local takeout but the hamburger and chips I had were good. Looked like good fish ready to cook as well.
The Fabulous Fish Chicken opened up a while back with a fresh appearance and facade on the old fish and chip shop that it replaced. Having said that, as clean cut and inviting as the outside is, it’s just another suburban fish and chip shop that has an over-extensive menu and caters for a lot of deep fried foods. I was feeling the mood for a burger on the way home from work, and given it was lunchtime decided to try them out. I think I had popped in before a long time ago for a bacon and egg roll, and found it to be adequate without being anything special. Ordered the Cheesy Wakka Beef Burger meal, which comes with chips and a can of drink for $10. I’m still not entirely sure what a Wakka is. Google tells me it’s a character from Final Fantasy. I’m not entirely sure if this is what they’re going for however. For all intents and purposes in regards to the burger it’s basically a burger with the lot. All the staff with exception of the manager were wearing hairnets which is a good sign they’re taking hygiene fairly seriously. The staff appear to be young and were quite friendly. Being quiet, I got my order within 10 minutes and drove home to eat. I wasn’t expecting any miracles with the food and despite the burgers appearance looking nice, it certainly wasn’t anything special. The bun wasn’t fresh, and was lightly toasted leaving it dry. The salad was OK, but too much emphasis on the lettuce. The beef patty was nice and larger than I was expecting, but the cheese wasn’t melted properly over the patty, and was only a singular slice. Not exactly ‘cheesy’. The BBQ had been applied decently, but BBQ sauces are boring when they’re not homemade, as they all taste the same. After about half the burger it got boring and I became uninterested in it. The chips are OK, and that’s probably the best description for them. They’re hand cut which is nice to see, but like the pre-battered fish in the display window, I felt like they’d been previously cooked, and as a result they were more chewy than crunchy which left for an odd texture. If you’re looking for a cheap feed, they’re not a bad option if you’re looking for a quick feed for the family. It’s a suburban ‘chippy’ where the chiko rolls sit alongside the pre-battered fish, and an extensive menu that tries to cater for more than one cuisine. For $10 it’s alright if you’re starving and there’s nothing else available locally or at home, but I don’t think I’ll seek them out for a burger again. I’m not trying to be snobby but I’ve had better feeds at less impressive looking shops.
Best shop in the suburb Freshly hand made chips and quality food and service
