Bidra med feedbackWonderful Stay We had a wonderful stay at ‘Villa Conti’ for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it did not disappoint. The owners and the staff are really friendly and helpful and they are also on hand if you need any advice on the area etc. The room was bright, spacious and clean, the bedding was changed twice in the week we stayed there and the towels almost daily. The views from the hotel are stunning; they have a small swimming pool which you are welcome to use and you can sunbathe in the gardens or just read a book and relax if you wish. If you want to experience the real taste of Italy, then just dine here at ‘Villa Conti’ the owner is the chef and the homemade ravioli is delicious and my husband had the loin of Pork which was excellent. Easy accesses into the little town of Fauglia were there are a couple of restaurants, but to be honest the food at ‘Villa Conti’ was the best. There are some lovely walks around Fauglia itself, however I would recommend hiring a car if you want to explore further afield. There is a bus into Pisa at 08.50am and one in the afternoon around 3.00pm. We wish you all every success at Villa Conti
We arrived late night. First thing that we were told was we don 't have any reservations for tonight . After I showed email with confirmation, they gave us a key from the room. After a long drive I would appreciate a cup of tea, but there is no tea making facility in the room. As the matter of fact, there are no cups or glasses in the room. Pillows are old and poor quality.
The late summer in Fauglia is a superb time to visit to Villa Conti. The daytime is bright and breezy and the majestic view to Pisa (25 minutes west by car) is only heightened by the wondrous surroundings of this magnificently restored 12th century villa. The owners, the Coglianese family are the epitome of good hosts and set a new standard for customer care and attention. Nevio Sr., the patriarch of the family loves music and is known to randomly invite the musical greats from Italian Jazz and Classical genres to perform in the beautifully appointed outdoor terrace with the lights and scents of Tuscany serving as an unparalleled backdrop. Nevio and his wife Dorli are kind, interested and interesting. Their kind affection for one another and their family members is contagious and their approach to detail and ensuring a memorable guest experience is paramount. While I stayed here, there were guests from all over Europe and a several other Canadians. The villa staff were excellent and spoke all of the languages necessary in a polite and most accommodating manner. The food was exquisitely prepared by Chef Roberto and his team and was always superb. The ingredients hailed from local and Tuscan purveyors and the servings were always ample and extremely satisfying. The rooms are beautifully appointed with a combination of period pieces and very comfortable beds with fresh white linens that meld intrinsically with the beautiful frescos painted by a world renowned Italian artist Ernando Venanzi (who can been seen preparing for his next masterpiece to grace this beautiful building). Ernando and Nevio are great friends and they share in the joy of art, restoration and good company. The Villa also has an equestrian centre and and an array of private equestrian offerings for the equine savvy guest. Gabriel Coglianese, the GM for the property is also a registered Horse Whisperer and was trained by world famous Monty Roberts. I can only say good things about my time(s) at Villa Conti. This place is magical and is a refreshing alternative to other properties in Tuscany in that it can be tailored to your personal interests at every turn. The memories and experience here at Villa Conti will forever be emblazoned in my Bucket List.
We came by chance to Villa Conti but will definitely return on purpose. From the moment we were seated with a twilight view of the tower of Pisa in the distance, we knew this would be a very special evening. Not only was the meal outstanding, we were treated as friends by the staff and owners who shared the story of the reconstruction, who allowed us to experience the villa and the chapel, and who gave us a memory that will stay with us forever. While the meal was incredible, la conta was far less than we expected and we left feeling as though we had been given a special treat.
The location is marvellous, we were having lunch outside with an amazing landscape view. We enjoyed homemade noodles, Beef Tenderloin, and a Sorbet. Additionally we had live music that really created the best ambient all with perfectly recommended/selected wines.
