Homeport Sushi - Falmouth

Family owned and very friendly. Made reservations for Mother's Day and the food was great. Small but good sake selection (one of which I had already gifted to my mother, so it was good knowing I chose wisely). We did the all you can eat sushi (reservations required) and the roll selection was small but really good. Chef even gave us a special one with chopped spicy tuna on top. It's $35 per person (as of this writing) which is high but literally the only AYCE sushi that I've seen anywhere near the cape, so 100% worth it The name of the game these days is be patient and be kind. If you're in a hurry or with a big group order ahead or make a reservation, respectively. They are a small staff trying to make it in a difficult time.

This is by far some of the best sushi I've ever had. We have been twice now and both times were consistent. The server is so kind and is always ready to refill your water or ginger. Personal favorite rolls are the spider roll (soft shell crab) the merry roll (California roll with spicy tuna on top). Really fresh fish, and the sushi rice is perfectly seasoned to compliment it all. Heads up if you want to do all you can eat, you need to call a few hours ahead for a reservation! I'm assuming this is to make sure they have enough fresh fish ready for everyone. Highly, highly recommend

There is so much to say that I don't know where to start. I walked into this seemingly ex-living room with pieces of booths shoved together, very dim lighting, and not an inch of wall that wasn't taken up by poster making the rice cake seem bigger than it was and thought to myself, oh my god I'm about to get killed. I thought that this was it, I thought that the sushi chef was going to skin me alive using his big fancy knives and then I was told that I needed to spend at least $25 per person to sit down at what was seemingly my final resting place. Where I come from there are lots of little hole in the wall places, but this took it to a new level. This was not a hole in the wall. This was just the wall. Yet something about it was so nice and so soothing that I couldn't help but give i and say okay I will give into your little $25 minimum. When I first walked in they were playing Bon Jovi and I was a little sad but that's okay. But then the moment I sat down, they started playing all of these old Japanese ballads, including one of Teresa Teng's final songs. The sushi chef has good taste in music, but that is besides the point. You all wanna hear about the food, and the food in my opinion surpasses bluefin, the very overpriced bluefin not to say that homeport isn't somewhat over priced as well but everything is My my sushi and appetizers were wonderful. In fact, they were so good that I was worried that they were laced in that the staff was going to cook me for Thanksgiving. Maybe don't come here if you have bad anxiety issues but that didn't stop me. Much love.

Homeport is consistently great. They could easily charge more for their rolls, and I'd pay for it. I don't understand the negative reviews about service. The server is the best! She notices when you're low on ginger and offers more, and she's on top of refilling water, too, without being obtrusive. We went last night, and the quality of the fish was excellent. The fried dumplings had the most delicious filling and were nice and crisp but not greasy. The seaweed salad had little toasted sesame seeds that really added a nice crunch and flavor. They have a roll with a broiled scallop on top that's unique and tasty, one of my favorites. This place is not fancy. If you want a splashy atmosphere, go somewhere else. If you want good service and delicious food, go to Homeport.
