Bidra med feedbackHad lots of fun in this bright friendly spot on the river. HUGE restaurant with plenty of space for big groups. We sat at the bar a couple of times, once for dinner and once for drinks. Even though the bar area got very crowded very quickly, the service was efficient and pleasant. Had a great shrimp dinner too.
Nice restaurant. Has a wonderful huge fish tank. Our waitress was very good. The food was nice. My chili was good but not great. It came with onions (optional), cheese, sour cream. My husband had a wrap he really enjoyed. Their French fries were absolutely delicious. I thought there would be a river view, but there was not. There is plenty of seating, and it was quiet.
So, I have mixed feelings about this place. The setting is lovely. The bar is very inviting and a great place to hang out. The prices are very fair. However, the food was hit or miss. The t bone steak was tasty, but it was served with frozen green beans that looked freezer burned (some were pale and some were greener). The walleye wasn't good and the American fries it came with were room temperature and under cooked. The so called boneless wings were just chicken nuggets not worth the price at all. Service was fine. I just think they need to do better with the consistency of the food...and lose those frozen vegetables! I don't think we'll be back.
We enjoyed a prime rib and shrimp special $25) on a Tuesday night and loved it. While the prime rib was fatty typical) and somewhat overcooked, the shrimp was to die for! And I'm really not a fan of seafood. We ordered it grilled and were not disappointed. Good service, good food and reasonable prices. I'd certainly go back the next time we're in the area.
We had the Thursday night special, bar-b-que baked chicken. It was delicious. It came with choice of potato and green beans. Food was hot, fresh and fast!
