George's Pizzeria - Falls Lake

The pizza is delicious, nice crisp crust delicious sauce, ratios were good. My biggest complaint with this place and the reason for the 3 star rating, NEVER EVER DO YOU PUT CANNED MUSHROOMS ON A QUALITY PIZZA!!

I was there on 5/2/2022 to order a take out of a large cheese pizza, and a order of plain chicken wings. Time of order was 5.12pm . 4 other orders were served before mine. My order was ready to go at 6pm. It took 45mins to make 1 pizza, and fry 6 chicken wings !!! That is unacceptable. If to can make or do the order. Then cut down you menu. If i ever go there again. I'm putting my stopwatch on timer. Very poor service. And is very unacceptable!! You know that I'm a regular customer...especially on Mondays. I never waited that long before.Other orders did come out before mine. When you saw me upset,you should have come out to address me...but you did not.!! Most owners would of. But you fail in that category.

I have been coming over to this restaurant when George was the cook for the previous owner. The food was much better before. It seems when George took over the restaurant, he began using different vendors or ingredients to save money on today's high cost of food. Take my advice, just raise the price of your food to go back to the high quality like before. I even noticed your pizza boxes in the back being paper-thin. There is no way a pizza can stay warm with that type of box quality.George, I hope you get back on top of your game and have the lemon Chicken Franchise taste like lemon with zest once again, not that water down version I had 3 times in a row, and the pasta alfredo sauce I order I want it coming out creamier again and not diluted with half and half. Trust me, customers notice these things, and we can turn on a dime.The only reason why I gave you 3 stars is that I averaged out the past better dinners. Furthermore, it URKS me when a restaurant cannot fix its ice maker for over 2 years and offer customers ice with water. You are the only restaurant in the United States I know that doesn't even attempt to fix your problem. My family and I have eaten at your restaurant more than 30 times in the last 2 years.

For those of you who are concerned about coming here because the restaurant is no longer called “pizza amore”, don’t be! This restaurant was bought out by one of the long-time chefs of “pizza amore”. The food is still incredible and the portions are still large. Nothing has changed with regards to the recipes we loved. However, what has changed is the fact that George (the new owner) has already started to fix the problems that the previous owners neglected to. All in all it is an amazing Italian restaurant that is run by very hardworking staff. Can’t wait to dine here and order online again.

Finally! Great NY style pizza. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, a 15 minute walk from DiFara's. For me, George's is the real deal.(I just wish beer was served!
