Bidra med feedbackI ordered a takeout of vegan garden pizza and fried ravioli. It was tasteful, light and good enough for two persons for the dinner.
As Illinois transplants to the DC area, I’ve been eyeing this place up since it opened near our house. I finally was craving some deep dish pizza and ordered one plus the brownies. It said 30 minutes, which isn’t unreasonable for how long deep dish takes to cook. I walked in at 28 minutes hoping it would come out soon and I could take it home fresh (we just live a few blocks away .My first clue that something was off, was it was going on 6pm on a Saturday and the place is empty. Next, the kid at the counter (who was REALLY nice by the way went and got my order right away. As he handed it to me, I felt zero heat coming from the containers, uh oh. Got home and opened it and the pizza had clearly been sitting there for a while… why tell me 30 minutes then? The cheese was all solidified, and the grease had soaked through the cardboard already, so when we pulled the first slice up it pulled some cardboard with it (see picture . We noticed it looked more like Pizza Hut pan pizza than real Chicago deep dish. I gave it a bite, it tasted okay but was salty. I mentioned that to my wife and she thought the same thing, it seemed like the cheese was salty. After two slices I called it quits. I opened the brownie to find a cold (as in like from the refrigerator brownie that looked so dry that I’m sure it was cooked days ago. Come on, even the domino’s half a mile away will give you a hot baked brookie if you order it. I cut it up and warmed it up in the microwave (aka thawed it out… and I will say it at least tasted good.Overall, I wouldn’t visit here again. There are way too many restaurants in a 20 min driving range to go here. Based on the number of people in there on a Saturday night, this place probably won’t be open long. I hope something good replaces it!
I go here every monday its just my favorite place ever. The service is amazing and the waiters are so nice.
Staff and management here is great, there is plenty of parking, the interior is spacious and cozy, and the food is great. Half price individual pizzas on Monday is a great deal. If you like Uno's or want to try it out I would recommend it!
Great place with bar area, plenty of seating, and an outdoor patio. My family all said the pizza was good and the fries and chicken tenders I sampled off their plates were good. My food was just OK. If google let me I'd rate this a 3.5 place but gave a 4 because of the kids ice cream dessert presentation. I had a voodoo ranger IPA but it came out fairly flat. Then when I got my meal, the steak (w/o shrimp since I had a beer). The steak was made to order correctly and had a good amount of fat on it for flavor but the problem is it came out what for a liquid would be luke warm as if the heat lamp in the kitchen wasn't putting out enough heat or something. The loaded mashed potato side dish was tasty and sweet. I would eat here again, but at this point I'd call it an average place or just above.Parking: We went on a Friday night and the parking lot was packed and with tight spaces. It is one long parking lot shared by several restaurants.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the ice cream dishes for dessert for like $3 it was a fancy way to end dinner for less than you might spend at DQ and the portions were right.
