The Cast Iron Pot 2 - Fairview

I feel sad writing this review. We’ve been going to this location and the original location for over 5 years now, before #2 even existed. We supported this business through the pandemic in little outdoor tents. We celebrated birthdays and affectionately referred to one of the servers as grandma.But last night was a totally different experience. Our server was condescending, openly judging us for ordering 4 orders of rice cakes for 5 people “you know that has x pieces, right?” she said). We spent just under an hour there and they changed out the cooking surface and she just brought us the check. She didn’t ask if we were done.We weren’t done. Most of us hadn’t eaten most of the day in anticipation. We weren’t overeating. We ate at a steady pace. So when we said something she quoted the menu warning us we would be charged if we didn’t finish the food.So first you indirectly call us fat and then you are rude? We ordered a few things and noticeably got less than a regular portion. After feeling shamed we paid and left. I honestly don’t know if I want to come back here. It used to be so much fun and we were treated like family.

I will never go back to that place. I normally go to Iron Pot 1, but this one, the service suck. The menu is not the sameFood: 4/5

Got kicked out and hour early on a Saturday night.. rude they stopped giving us brisket and made us put in last call at 11. They also raised theyr prices to 37. This place use to be great now it’s terrible.

Definitely recommend, food is cooked right infront of you at your table, every meal is fresh off the grill and hot, you dont have to worry about your food sitting getting cold somewhere or left under a heat lamp drying out. The hanging tender steak was the best steak I had here, also had pork belly pieces marinated chicken, everything was good.

Low quality meat and poor favors. Was ready to leave after 10 minutes and wish had tried something else instead. Not worth the price.
