John's Butcher Block - Fairfield

Absolutely, hands down, the best butcher shop. I wish we were closer to get the best quality meats and even better service. We love stopping in and try to stock up as best we can until our next trip home.

John is a great guy, and he hires wonderful staff to help run the place. This is the place to go if you want the best deli sandwich in Fairfield, IL. Their sour cream and cheddar macaroni salad is VERY serious. The Cajun turkey will “make your eye-teeth slap your gums out,” according to my grandma. My friends and I used to eat here once a week for lunch, but now I just try to go anytime I'm in town to support local business. Good ol Johnny B's!

I attended a networking event with the local Chamber of Commerce and had the best cheese spread at the event. It just happened to be from John's Butcher Block that was right across the street. I ran right over and bought a small dish to take home to share with my family. Highly recommend.

I'm new to town and a friend recommended this place. I'm thankful he did. I spent $1.39 for 2 boneless pork chops. I'm glad I bought 8. The pork chops happen to be the best I believe I have ever had. I would like to believe that is partly because I'm a great cook but good cook or not if the meat isn't any good it's hard to make it something it's not.

Love their ground beef and homemade sandwich spread. Very friendly and helpful!!
