Tokyo Express Closed - Fairbanks

Popular for large groups because of their options for event seating, this place stays booked throughout the year. But, it's Not because of their authentic food. Limited staff kept our service minimal at best, all three times we visited this restaurant. We won't be back...

My husband , 1 yr old daughter and I came here for my birthday and we had a great dining experience! The woman and her husband run the place and they are so sweet and humble. If you have a kid she will practically babysit for you while you eat, she adores kids. As far as the sushi, they get the freshest fish in Fairbanks and the sushi is excellent. My absolute favorite is the hawiian roll mmmmm. All in all everything you would hope for in a sushi restaurant!

We used to go here a lot, and they were friendly, but, the food has gone down a bit and they don't seem to be as friendly anymore...

This is a good place for a quick sushi meal. Very small, but good food and friendly staff.

The first time I came here, I asked for a to-go menu and was promptly ordered to sit and eat a couple sushi samples and have a bowl of miso soup and cucumber salad as they prepared my order. Amazing. As for the sushi? It's the best in town. The sushi is always beautiful and delicious. Cost-wise, it's practically the same as every other sushi place, but taste-wise, this one wins by miles. The couple that owns the place and creates these mouthwatering masterpieces are always sweet and cheerful and make an effort to remember their return guests. My absolute favorite place in Fairbanks!
