Bidra med feedbackReally good eating and the mood environment very Latin. my mother and I came when they got up. we made a reservation and it was a good one. parking was not difficult, although the restaurant is in fairbanks. we are on Friday at 18 o'clock close. the owner is nice, professional and Cuban! we are Peruvian, we enjoyed talking to him in our native language. the food was fresh and delicious. also the table service was reasonable and not overwhelming. the portions were also quite good portions. this restaurant is very popular and a reservation is required because it fills up quickly. while we were there, they played latin music in the background. but I know they have a life music there. at the entrance were instruments. my mother visited ak, but I will come back in definitiw.
Dinner was so good we contemplated staying another night in Fairbanks just to eat here again. After a week of road-tripping through Alaska, all the highly rated places from Fairbanks to Anchorage were such a disappointment so I was expecting more of the overhyped bland mediocre food. Yes, I’m one of those people whose day is ruined by a bad meal. If you appreciate delicious fresh food with banging taste, come here! The organic house salad with vinaigrette dressing was so good I ordered another to go. My spicy shrimp was spicy but oh so fresh and tasty. Hubby’s steak pork was perfection. You can probably ask chef Rico to dial down the (hot) spicy in certain dishes if needed. We hoovered down the Tres Leche cake which was super moist and just the right sweetness. I only wish we had ordered the homemade fresh bread before it ran out and went when the live band was playing. We left a full dining room just after 11pm. Note: It’s tucked away on a quieter street but just a stone’s throw away from the Crepery.
We had a fantastic Christmas evening at the jazz bistro. The atmosphere was wonderful. Unfortunately, due to the storm, the band was unable to perform, but the chef treated us to some impromptu music instead! It was quite impressive and had a lovely Caribbean flair. The food was enjoyable, although the dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste. It was on the pricey side. Overall, if you're a jazz fan, definitely give it a try! You won't be disappointed.
My partner and I visited without a reservation and were promptly seated. The lighting and music created a fantastic atmosphere after a long, hectic day at the office. I can't express enough how incredible the service was, and the conversations we had made the experience even better—it's something I didn't expect! I tend to shy away from trying "new" things, but I had never seen a menu quite like this one. I was thrilled with everything we ordered. I can assure you that my partner and I have already decided to make this our go-to spot for future date nights at the Jazz Bistro on 4th Street in Fairbanks. They even host Latin nights for couples seeking a fun, relaxed environment away from the usual hustle and bustle. Honestly, there aren't enough stars to adequately reflect my experience. If you haven't been to Jazz Bistro yet, you definitely should—just start the car and go!
I’m really glad I decided to keep my shrimp cocktail to myself; it was incredibly tasty! I also had the faust, which was like a hearty stew, and I highly recommend it. The quality of the food was fantastic. The dishes were amazing even without the sauces, but the crema and accompanying ingredients were truly top notch. The drink selection was impressive, and although I didn’t see any ghosts (which the place is known for), I didn’t miss them during the meal. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the service was wonderful! It’s a little pricier than some other places, but the quality of the food makes every penny worth it!
