Bidra med feedbackWe were there for the first time on Friday night. We came there at 4:30 and went in to sit. No one welcomed us because about 10 people were waiting to be fed up in a big party. We waited 10 minutes. Another group came after us to sit. Then they sat before us. We decided to speak directly to the host. He asked us to wait. Then finally asked if we were to take off or eat. We asked for a table and after another minute he finally brought us outside, at our proposal. He forgot to bring us menus. So we couldn't even watch menus while we waited for the waitress. When the waitress came out, she went to all the other tables around us first. We decided to just go. At this point the waitress called for us and said she could take our orders. I understand that places are busy and that happens, but the staff here seemed to be badly organized.
The table was sticky. The food was generally contaminated. Had chips and salsa (comlimentary offer for all) and a chimichanga. Chimichanga was tender and chewing instead of crispy. It came with rice and beans. The beans were a bean paste. The rice was overcooked to the point of being sticky rice with an orange shade. The staff was nice and did good work. The decor is good.
I ordered the Red Snapper and 8t came with a side of yellow rice, black beans and a salad. My waitress Jessica was phenomenal. She checked all the time and asked my honest opinion. She even allowed me to use the pintos beans and two flavors of ice (corn and avocado). They were both amazing!
Every time I go, the staff treats me like family. Maria is amazing, the food is always made to order and they always get it right. I love this place absolutely. If my friends and I have a taste for Mexican food, we always land at Buho.
Good food and a nice little space. Menu was authentic and reasonably priced. No complaints, my tamale was one of the better ones I've had, Chile relleno was good not great, and the rice and beans were good. Would definitely try it again sometime.
