Bidra med feedbackYou need to book a table or sneak early as we did for a cold sherry and tapas. the place is tiny, but the atmosphere is great. calvo loco, means 'crazy kahly' and is named after the overwhelming British owner. his Spanish woman makes cooking so it is authentic and really delicious and the staff often pick up a gitarre and go the party. it is one of my favorite places to eat and drink in exeter. we had a simple dish of tostas de mariscos with our sherry, with avocado and cadjau and garnel and sardines, just delicious.
That was great. personal very friendly, inexpensive. if they are sitting around large barrels, they must eat with their bites apart or side facing. I found sitting things really uncomfortable and at the end of the evening complained that my back hurt.
10/10 service and incredibly authentic food! Highly recommend!
I have lived in Exeter since 2008 and can say with total confidence that this is by far the best food I 've had here. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection and the the flavours were masterfully balanced. The Patatas Bravas, Albondigas and Tortilla were authentic and delicious, the cheeses were a great addition, and the churros were an excellent way to finish. It was almost impossible for me to choose a favourite or best dish, but my partner said it was the omelette for her it was gooey, packed with flavour and utterly mouth watering. As if the experience couldn 't get any better, the service was excellent. Attentive, friendly and informed. The decor was excellent (also authentic) 11/10 experience Couldn 't recommend enough
What a great place! we had a wonderful evening here, and it's honesty like in Spain! great value for money, eating is absolutely amazing. we tried different bits and it was so beautiful. when they go to exeter somewhere, they go here!
