Western Ribeye & Ribs - Evansville

First visit and was not sure what to expect. I'm glad I came here, the service is great. Very fast and my glass of tea didn't go empty. Warm bread with garlic herbal butter was fast on my table and was very good. The salad bar was very clean and the person concentrated that the containers were full. This is the first salad bar, where they shredded eggs, not chopped, actually shredded eggs. Great. Oh, my, they served my French onion soup and it was a perfect presentation and smell so good. My first taste of the hot soup was very pleasant. Soup has a nice taste and cannot wait to dig as soon as it cools. The decor is dated, but very clean. Prime Rib came and it's great. Nice taste, now I wished the bigger size. I will come back

This fine decor is known for its extensive salad bar, complete with the usual fare, as well as fresh fruit, fresh bread, cheese block, apple butter and a variety of dressing options. They offer a variety of soups that are turned and pair nice with the salad bar for a light lunch. They also offer a modest selection of steaks, chickens and more. We've never been disappointed with the food we receive.

I've been living in Evansville for over a year and it took me so long to find a place that serves such a perfect steak. Omg was amazing. Everything was amazing. Staff are the nicest people ever.

I had the breaded fish sandwich on special today. The fish was excellent, and the tater sauce was ok. I ate the fries without ketchup, and they were good, but the coleslaw was was much too creamy/juicy and heavy tasting. If I hadn 't gotten the salad bar, I don 't think I would have been satisfied. The salad bar was nice and fresh, but calling it legendary seemed a stretch. I appreciated the herring fillets (never seen this on a salad bar before) and the big block of cheddar, but the only other proteins were diced ham, diced hard boiled eggs, and cottage cheese. There was something that might have been bacon, but I wasn 't sure so I passed over it. For the price, I 'd like more maybe some chick peas or other legumes, and some other lettuce varieties at least. Also, I usually skip dressings in favor of oil and vinegar, but I didn 't see them. There were a few other things worth mentioning. After taking our order, our server said she 'd be right back with some warm bread. Maybe she misspoke, but no bread or explanation ever came. At one point, she said she 'd be right back with our sandwiches. A few minutes later I made another trip to the salad bar, returned, finished the entire plate, and still had to wait another 5 10 minutes before our sandwiches came out. Then, one of the sandwiches was given to the wrong person and he almost started eating before the error was caught, and one burger was completely the wrong one. My sandwich was really good, and I 'd consider coming back to try a steak or prime rib, but I can 't give a great rating based on this visit.
