Whiskey Thief - Evanston

We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The menu offered unique and delicious options. The wine servings were a bit small. The prices for the portion sizes were reasonable. The food was delicious, although we felt it was slightly overpriced for what was included.

The sign hanging outside is really small so I drove past it 3 times looking for it. Plan on spending at least an extra 15 min trying to find parking on the street and walking back. I was there on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. The setup of the booths and the decor is very nice. The servers were friendly and the food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely go back.

This is a wonderful gastro-pub with a burger-centric eclectic menu. You will have many choices ranging starters to full plate dinners. What makes this pub stand out is the wide variety of seating options and dining environments. You can have a quiet more intimate setting in one of the “whiskey barrel” booths to larger group type seating in front of a wide screen TV for sporting events. I have done both and had a wonderful time in each setting.

Food was fabulous! Service was good. Atmosphere quiet which was very pleasant. Will return.

Burgers, beer,salad were all a level above what I expected. Great ambience, lively but not overpowering. Definitely going back.
