Bidra med feedbackAfter I became a recurring visitor to Backlot Coffee Evanston for their excellent coffee, I started adding a addictive vegan morning cannon to my tab. Saw someone deliver a fresh batch one day, so finally find out that Sugar Spice is doing these scones that have resettled my expectations for Scones. Now you need to visit the list articles Sugar Spice 's bakery.
I had a terrible experience of ordering cookies from this bakery. I tried to order 2 gift baskets online without success. Your website said that they did not in stock so that I sent 2 separate emails asking when they are back in stock and do not receive an answer to either email. I called several times without luck. Every time my call was answered by a very rude woman who either said she had no time that she couldn't hear me, or would just hang on me as soon as she answered. I never had such a hard time to give a company MONEY. All in all, I would have spent over $60 for 20 cookies and they obviously don't want my business. Don't worry. I'm sure there's another bakery that would like to do new business.
I tried two cookies from Sugar Spice at the Unicorn Cafe in downtown Evanston. I liked the oatmeal more than the oatmeal chocolate chip walnut. It is a huge cookie for $2 (her website says it is 4 ounces), much more than I want to eat in a session, so I suggest sharing with a friend.
The other reviewers are right....these are some of the best cookies and brownies you will ever taste! In fact, in an assessment of the Chicago Tribune of Unicorn Coffee in Evanston, the reviewer described Sugar Spice's Oatmeal Raisin Cookie as one of the best they ever tried. That's cool. The challenge is to find out where the cookies are worn because so many places they sell, but not who baked them. Examples in Chicago are Intelligentsia Coffee, Metropolis Coffee, and even in spas such as Bliss or places like the Café at the Children's Memorial Hospital. Strange, but true. After all, I know they make gifts. So you can also send yummy cookies to your friends......
I lived in the same dorm as Heather K, and remember the cookies just as fondly. M&M or classic chocolate chip were my faves. Always fresh and tasty. They also sell these at some White Hen locations. Aww, now I want a cookie. :
