Whether you are tailgating before a Northwestern game, or going on a picnic with friends, He it’s never disappoints! All meat is hand smoked in house, and they also cater at a super affordable rate! They also bottle and sell their sauce! Ready, set, BBQ!!!

Fast and convenient takeout, very reasonably priced, generous portions (too generous, maybe... a single combo item fed two of us and we were stuffed). Only wish they had an eat-in option for when I'm on my bike and don't have the space or means to carry food home, but no one minds if you take your food across to the lawn across the street, and they'd probably let you eat at the curb outside the shop too.

Why does anyone go anywhere else, ever, for barbecue? Now, I love my Carolina style too--but if you want something sticky, smokey and sweet--this is your spot. This has been a favorite in my home for a very, very long time. One of my favorite stopovers when I have guests in town for an excellent, easy dinner after a long day of traveling or sight seeing. Such a wonderful institution. When you think of barbecue up on the north shore, you think of Hecky's. Love.

I was greeted by a really nice person behind the counter. They quickly took my order of small rib tips and small fries. They have a super small patio for 2 people. There isn't a dining area so once, I received my order and I took it home. (15 minutes drive). It was plenty warm when I got home. As I sat down to eat the small is actual filling. The tips were meaty and tender, I asked for the hot bbq sauce, even though it not super spicy, it has some nice heat. The fries were good dipped in the bbq sauce. I wish the bbq sauce was spicier.
