Da Jerk Pit - Evanston

I’d give it 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. You do get a HUGE sandwich for the money they could cut the meat down by 1/3 and cut $2 off the price. But the BBQ is spot on! Probably some of the best brisket I’ve ever had!

I just wanted to say coming from NYC I was highly skeptical of the food, reason why I’m saying this because 99% of the Jamaican Caribbean food in Chicago is not that well. But Da Jerk Pit is fire I walked in the smell of the food reminds me of the restaurants in Jamaicaa, you can smell the patties aka beef patties freshly baked. The restaurant is very clean they don't offer Dine in at the moment because of covid regulations.The wife and husband have a great chemistry and they greet you with a smile. Please make sure you wear a mask if you don't have one they will provide one for you free of cost. I order a large stew chicken with Mac and cheese on the side with a Mango

The best Jamaican authentic dish in the city of Evanston..the jerk chicken, jerk steak and shrimp combo and those banana pudding desserts are the best... Amazing flavor, huge portion, reasonable price, compared to all the other Jamaican restaurants in the area . Da Jerk pit is number one....
