Stadt-Cafe - Eutin

After a long walk on the Eutin lake and through the castle garden we had the pleasure of coffee and cakes. The cafe, initially driven at the market square, had no seats, and so we turned to the somewhat hidden city café. Operation When entering we were kindly greeted by an operation behind the cake counter. Also in this house were several tables occupied, but we still found a free space on a higher platform. The table was not yet cleared, and even when we were sitting there for several minutes, no operation could be seen. We therefore moved the plates used to a smaller neighboring table and our third man was looking for an operation. He came back with the remark, someone would immediately take care of us. When that lasted, I went down to inspect the offer of the cake counter. Then a service appeared at our table and accepted the order. It took a while again until the drinks and then the ordered cakes were served. In the meantime, a male employee had arrived and took part in the activities behind the cake counter, so that the previously employed service could already intervene at the tables. Nevertheless, we as well as the neighboring tables have always come to clear waiting times. Both operators acted very friendly and accommodating, the younger ones clearly somewhat uncertain (help? , but could not really cope with the urge this day. The coffees proved to be very good, the two cake pieces were distinguished by respectable size and taste. Ambience The cafe offers 60 seats on the inside, which are distributed over three rooms in several levels, plus further seats on the roof terrace and outside the door in summer. We found a place on the gallery, which at the same time includes the books of the literary cafe. The furniture had some clear signs of use, but the atmosphere was cozy there. Cleanliness Some comments have already been made. While plates, cups and cutlery were clean, there were clear crumb marks on the tables and on the floor. There was probably no time left at the customer tower for an interim cleansing.

The city café in Eutin is centrally located on the market square of the city. Of course, many other coffee specialities are offered, there is a wide range of soft drinks, wine, beer and spirits. Everything at reasonable prices. From 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily except Monday Tuesday, the Cafè offers only a good compilation of various breakfast options at 1 a.m., later you will receive hot lunch dishes from the changing daily offer. All baked goods are also available for picking, candy is baked for every occasion and even delivered free of charge in the city. The seat is a staircase higher in 2 rooms. The walls are decorated with some small works of art, but this is particularly remarkable, are the well-filled book cabinets that occupy the free surfaces on the walls. On the map it is pointed out: literature and enjoyment. All books can be selected freely and read directly in the café. Or bought in retail. There are 2 stairs deeper in an open vault cellar. It is also possible to receive non-predictive books on request from the guest who becomes the customer. Not only in time, but safe until the next day. In beautiful weather, an outdoor seat is available in the courtyard of the house, this year we unfortunately had a strong rain for a stay. And not to forget that 6 tables on the marketplace are also managed by the city café in beautiful weather. We discovered a little hint in the window next to the entrance, not to be hidden. The Cafè explicitly calls dog owners not to leave their dog in the car, but to take it. Water for the pet is always ready. Great service, not standard in gastronomy. The cakes still taste oberlecker while the operators are new, but just as flashy and friendly as other employees in recent years. The visit was a few hours ago, but I still remember it. I liked the design of the café, it is beautifully designed. The staff is attentive, diligent and nice, but not intrusive. We redeem a breakfast voucher in the city café It wasn't an extraordinary breakfast. A really good breakfast also includes crab salad for me. Our coupons contain 25 € . There were beautiful rolls, meat salad, various cheeses, sausage, a few fruits, O juices, muesli and quark. All in one could be satisfied, I ordered to move and got a small part. If I wanted numbers, the operation meant I'll get 4 more. So we paid €29 for a normal breakfast and this is something overpriced. If I visit this café again, I don't think so. 29,
