I just had lunch at Tea Pond the other day. Awesome menu, nice bar. Shaved prime rib sandwich was fantastic, poutine (proper poutine), homemade onion rings and chips. 5 6 beers on tap, many craft brew cans. The place is beautiful.I can't say much about the cabins as we just came for lunch though, but if they're half as good as the lodge, they'll be awesome. The place is off grid, but you'd never know it they have full lighting. Two generators and solar panels run the place.Nearby activities: The snowmobile trails around here are great.Food drinks: I came just for the food and drinks, not for lodging. See main review for details.
Great place out in the woods. Good food and drinks.
Left one voicemail (called four times) and sent 2 emails to get information on the wedding venue. With no response I thought I’d call one more time to see if anyone answers. A women answered and was very rude and wanted me off the phone. Being confused why she thought that was okay to treat someone who was interested in the business there that way I decided to be nice and understanding. She said that she would look at her computer on Monday (we spoke on Thursday). I then said you don’t have my phone number would you like it. Response was to send her a text and she will get back to me on Monday….no follow up text and now it’s Tuesday. Very unprofessional. Next customer might not be so nice and Understanding.
The restaurant has very charming decor and atmosphere, but I can't say much for the menu, the prices or the cook. My husband ordered a medium rare prime rib and it was over-cooked and not very flavorful. I ordered salmon and it was cold and raw inside. The waitress took it back for me and then it was cooked enough to eat. I would expect to pay a little more at this out of the way spot, but 2 drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 meals was over $110. We vacation in that area about once every other year. We will not go back here to eat.
