Chili's - Eugene

This is the best place to eat in the mall. The bbq chicken salad is what I usually get. The fried shrimp with tequila lime sauce is my favorite though. The servers here are really friendly and nice to talk too.

This was the last place I took my aunt before she died, and I am very happy to say it was a fantastic experience. There is nothing I hate more than taking someone out and having a bad experience. I see it as an embarrassment to me and my judgment. The waiter that we had was great, it was obvious he enjoyed his job and was more than helpful, checked on us consistently without being annoying. He kept an eye on things like napkins and drinks and brought more accordingly, and we never had to ask for anything. We decided to sit outside too, and from my experience, sitting outside generally means bad service, with them having to go in and out so much. It was nice, even sitting next to a parking lot, there were no loud noise, or rude people walking around. It was a pleasant and relaxing trip.

We usually only eat here if already at the mall. They quit serving my favorite margarita grilled tuna. Last time we ordered the shrimp fajitas and it was pretty good. We split the dinner due to only mild hunger and the waiter added extra shrimp without asking us, so the bill was a little more than anticipated. We will always go back for the convenience.

Our party consisted of 2 adults and one child. We were sat fairly fast and our waiter brought our drinks promptly. After that it all went downhill we both ordered fajitas, and the child ordered a burger. After the waiter coming buy and refilling our drinks he told us that he would bring our food right out 15 min later another girl brings our food, right then we asked her to bring more tortillas. Let’s just say we never saw her again! It took another 15 min for the waiter to come ask if everything was ok when in fact it was not. Fajitas came out on a sizzling plate the onions and peppers were hot but the meat was cold, luke warm at best. So when you spend 16.99 a plate I kind of figure that it’s all going to be hot. So finally we had to send it back, when he takes it we ask him again to bring more tortillas. When he brings back the food still has no tortillas yet tells us we will bring them right over. By now I’m getting ticked cause I had one tortilla for one fajita and that was it, then I had to wait yet another 20 min for the waiter or anyone to check on us. So my food got cold yet again I asked for a manager to come over and he did. We sent it back for the 2nd time then and had them reheat it. He wanted to offer us a desert and frankly I was pissed, I would have liked to just get my dinner ate. So he ended up taking about 20 dollars off our bill but still what a joke. I would def. not ever go back Needless to say I was sick later that night because I am pretty sure the shrimp were undercooked! EWWW.
