Baketta Cafe - ETTALONG BEACH

We were thrilled to discover this cafe, now known as the Lone Duck Cafe, as it was the only spot we could find offering an all-day breakfast. The service was exceptional, the food delicious in its simplicity, and the cafe itself was charming. We stayed for a while, reading the newspapers - thank you!

We have only had take away from Baketta - 4 times now. We usually get a coffee and bacon and egg roll and eat on the beach. The coffee is good, just a wee bit hotter would be tops. The bacon and egg rolls are fantastic. Come on a brioche bun. Bacon is tasty and not full of fat or too salty. Eggs cooked however I ask (firm cause Im pregnant). I only like a LITTLE bit of sauce and they always do just that. Oh and had a couple of smoothies there too. One banana and one strawberry. amazing. The strawberry one was made with fresh pureed strawberries with the seeds removed. Seriously good. I am pretty fussy. None of our local joints do it for me - we drive from a few suburbs to come here. We havent dined in but it has a nice vibe whilst sitting on the lounge waiting for our orders.

The best and freshest food in the Central Coast (only around the corner from Ettalong Ferry) Baketta is just amazing. Providing you with the best food and cakes (the French vanilla slice is the best in Australia (only tasted similar last time I was in Paris), great atmosphere and the most incredible service provided by owners/managers Kim and Geoff. When I am in the Central Coast and feel like a good coffee, my favourite calamari salad followed by best French Vanilla slice Baketta is my eating place. Love it.

My father and I found ourselves in Ettalong this morning and happened upon this lovely little cafe at the end of the street near the turn off for the ferry. I am so glad we went here for lunch. Tasty fresh roasted veggies for me and a tuna and cheese melt for my dad. Two wonderful coffees (a lot better than the ones we had in the morning across the road). Only sad that we didn't save room for the vanilla slice which looked divine. Will definitely return : )

I had lunch with friends. We're all local, love our coffees and varying degrees of very fussy! My skinny capp was perfect! My friends that love their soy were impressed. The food is simple and delicious. My toasted vegetarian wrap actually had veggies on it (pumpkin, mushrooms, etc) and delicious. They do burgers, eggs, melts and make the most delicious vanilla slice and various cakes. Home made! Next time you head to the movies or want to walk somewhere pleasant. Meet up here!
