Bidra med feedbackWe arrived in the village in the sun and the cafe looked as welcoming as the staff turned out to be. A lovely lunch for a very reasonable price served with a smile and willing English.
We visited this bar during a hiking trip and we were blown away by the friendly service and lovely beer and food. The young waitress Dani was very, very helpful and even invited us to join her and her family for a drink. She translated everything that was said so we could join in the conversation and this really made our night. We ended up drinking and laughing until 1.30am
Very nice place! And Ana, the owner is great and running the place with ambition and energy and heart. You should definitely stop by and have a drink and chat with her at the bar.
We came to 'The Randonneur' for lunch. Upon our request for something to eat, the owner pointed to the menu of the day. When we informed if any vegetarian options were available, the cuttlery and napkins that were just placed on the table were removed and we were simply told 'no'. We then asked for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. This simple order was also mixed up and while we were still eating and drinking, the bill was placed on our table as a less than subtle way of saying "ok bye now".
There aren't many bars/cafes in the centre of Etsaut so Le Randonneur is like a little oasis. They serve drinks until 10pm and also do snacks. Hot panini and a drink is €5,50 and I can personally recommend the Hot Dog panini. It's not at all like a traditional hot dog but it's the usual hot dog meat in a far superior casing! They have indoor seats and 3 outdoor seats. The bar is located right opposite the bus stop so I think it could be a good waiting point for a bus which I'm informed are a bit irregular!Special mention has to go to the young female waitress who has been on duty on both my visits. Always friendly, always smiling. Thank you.
