Bidra med feedbackCrazy amazing donut! Deep fried cinnamon roll, glazed, mixed with Bavarian cream with cheese cake with cinnamon. All right.
Donuts are great! My family has been ordering them at Estes Park for about 40 years. Unfortunately, there is no picture menu of everything and there is no smooth ordering process for large orders when we have big parties in the mountains. I hope they can make improvements.
We did the Estes donut taste test. Compared to across the street, these donuts are significantly better. Much harder to find given that they're inside the gas station. There's a back entrance and indoor seating. Bummed that they were out of the daily flavor by the time we got there at 8:30.
My husband and I went here when we were visiting the area a few days ago. We got there around 10 am and they were nearly sold out. We were told to come before 8 am to get the best selection if we decided to come back. What we got (a cinnamon roll with cheesecake on top) was really good but I was a bit disappointed to not get to try an actual donut since they were pretty much all wiped out. Too bad they can't make more as it sounds like there's the demand for more but maybe they don't have the staff or capacity to make more.
We are owners with Diamond Resorts in the Historic Crag's Lodge on Thanksgiving Week. Some other owners recommended donut house to do as a must and also the reception at the lodge. So glad we took her advice! There are special donuts here that you find nowhere else. A raspberry frit, a “Zimt” role that uses chocolate cake battery instead of cinnamon, a cinnamon roll with cheesecake filling distributed over the top, a raspberry glaze spin and so many more! For donut addicts like us, this place is amazing! It is small, without sitting inside, but great to grab and go. They are closed on Mondays.
