The Crazy Tuna - Essex

I had confirmed the reservation for a Tuesday night. last Sunday afternoon I received a speech post that the restaurant was closed because of a technical problems in the kitchen and should only be reopened the next Thursday and that I should turn to the refurbishment. When I called the restaurant the next day, I got her answer machine with a message that the restaurant was now in her winter plan and therefore only opened from Thursday to Sunday. this was the second time in less than 2 years that I had confirmed reservations only to find out that the restaurant was closed. the eating here is very good, but without any confidence that it will also be open with confirmed reservations, I will not return, nor will I recommend it to everyone.

Food and service was great as usual. Waitress was very friendly and attentive.

10 of us ate outside at the picnic tables. Very casual but service was excellent. It was taco night so most enjoyed that special and said they were very tasty and a bargain at $3 each. The crab cake sandwich is always delicious and the margaritas were perfect.

I was a little disappointed in the Calamari this time... it didn't seem so fresh when I got it in summer 2019. I hope that was a one-time thing.

Brunch Buffet is actually $19 per person. Not $15 as advertised here. Eating is easy. Nothing special. Every groundless mimose I had was unconsistently prepared.
