Gyros & More - Essex

My husband and I love this,place. Fresh, fresh salad no thidea best tasting chicken gyro that I have ever had. My husband loves th beef gyro. We always head here for lunch after seeing a show in Windsor. Well worth the stop and always have left overs which are incredible the next day for lunch.

I have been getting the chicken gyro here for years and really liked it but I am disappointed with a recent trend. Seems the prices are going up and it appears that the gyros are getting smaller. Still tasty but not what it used to be.

I got my meal to go in Essex. Once I got home and ate half of my chicken gyro, I discovered a hair inside of it. I called the restaurant and told them my situation. I did not have time to bring it back. The man on the phone apologized and told me to remind them when I go back next time. When I asked if they are required to wear hair nets, he did not know what the regulation on that is. The two girls making the food were not wearing hair nets or gloves. The cashier took his cell phone out after he rang me through, and the girls preparing the food were chatting away about their personal lives. Not a way to run a business. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
