Bidra med feedbackWe enjoyed the food and service here. We pregamed before braving the fires across the street at Taboo. I recommend the food and atmosphere here if a place like Taboo is too much.
In this cafe we were deceived, they introduced a bill for pesos more and added tax, although the menu says that taxes are included in the prices (VAT). We talked to the waiter, he pretended not to understand English. He ended up recalculating the...bill. Wanted to cheat us pesos. The portions are small, the food is expensive, everything is very standard in taste. I do not recommend this place.
This place is SOOO amazing!! I can’t believe we found it!! Everyone was blown away by our photos of the Geodomes! I highly highly recommend! We had the most incredible staff we had night Carlos and morning Carlos and Coco and they were all so...excellent! The first night we were going to stay in the treehouse but it was really loud because there was a club next door and we didn’t realize that when we booked it so bring earplugs but we asked the concierge if they could put us in another room just Incase and they had a cancellation and upgraded us at no charge in the Geodome in the back! It was one of the most romantic beautiful spaces of our entire trip and it was WAAAY quieter back there! The next night we stayed in the highest skydome and slept above the jungle among the dreamiest views! It’s an eco hotel so don’t expect a ton of hot water. The baths warm up but run out of hot water about half way full so expect a warm but not hot bath. It’s part of the experience in my opinion if you want an eco hotel that runs off solar so just recognize those kinds of quirks and have the best time ever! Can’t recommend it enough. Seriously some of the nicest people we met worked there!
Staff was amazing. Drinks were awesome and everyone was so friendly. Gorgeous place to relax and get a few small bites!
We were in Tulum for our honeymoon, and, in planning, I had thought we would go to all the places people talk about when they talk about Tulum: Hartwood, Casa Banana, Gitano, Cetli, etc. But after being sent away from one restaurant for not having a reservation and experiences the crowds and prices at the others, we decided to try different restaurants! Mamasan was one of those restaurants. We chose it because it was just down the street from our hotel (maybe a three-minute walk), and, when we had passed by it several times heading to town, it looked beautiful. And it was beautiful. The top floor was surrounded by bougainvillea. And the food was delicious, from start to finish. They brought us a free starter that was quite wonderful. Followed by two tacos as an appetizer (one fried fish, one fried shrimp), and two entrees - grilled tuna steak with mango sauce and Vodka pasta with seafood. Both were delicious. And our dessert, chocolate mousse with fruit squares, impressed even this girl that isn't too fond of chocolate! The service was also wonderful. And they had beers and tequila and mescal (we stuck with beer this night). It ended up being a wonderful, surprising, delicious meal. One that I would have again!
