Bidra med feedbackThis is one of those small corner cafes that is a true hidden gem. The staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. The menu selection is extremely vast and I have never had a meal that I didn't enjoy thoroughly. Highly recommended for both eating in and takeaway (dinner).
Such a beautiful cafe in Alexandria great tasting Toby’s estate coffee beautiful delicious fresh food and absolutely fabulous service by everyone here especially Neha the Manager fast efficient professional service with a smile. Love to pop in after a really hard days work and grab a detox green wow gives me energy the next day ! Really love this Cafe I wouldn’t go anywhere else .
We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The food was nice, the service was great, not expensive. I would go back if I'm in the area.
Not your typical poached eggs on toast; The "summer toast" on the specials menu was served with ricotta, crunchy pear, honey, asparagus, rocket, prosciutto and poached eggs. I ordered this dish out of curiosity as I was intrigued by the medley of ingredients - ricotta and honey, and rocket, prosciutto and pear I get, but honey and eggs together in the one dish? My tastebuds were in hyperdrive trying to make sense of the cacophony of textures and flavours. It was tasty but not sure I'd order it again. The bacon and egg roll, on the other hand, was a tried and true formula with salty bacon and fried egg inside a nice crusty roll. La Cachette is a great little cafe with welcoming and friendly service, and a comprehensive breakfast/lunch menu (My friend's corn fritters looked amazing!) They also have the largest large cafe lattes I've seen in Sydney.
I first tried La Cachette for Sunday morning breakfast. It was very easy to find a car park nearby and there was a great lively atmosphere when I showed up, with lots of dogs tied up outside and families enjoying the sunshine. My boyfriend and I both grabbed a newspaper and took a table outside. The service was fast and attentive. The menu is pretty extensive, with a wide variety of drinks and breakfast options. To drink I had a 'Nutty Professor' smoothie (I'm a sucker for anything with peanut butter) and my boyfriend had a berry smoothie (which was a bit watery and could have used more berries). To eat I tried the 'Broad Beans, Peas and Edamame' which came with poached eggs on toast, it was delicious and something I haven't seen on menus anywhere else before. My boyfriend's 'Big Breakfast' was very big as promised and got two thumbs up from him. The place is pretty unassuming and the decor is less impressive than other breakfast spots in the area but the food and service are fantastic and I'll definitely be back.
