Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is on the main street in Erice. The interior strives to be elegant and pretty much succeeds. There was no one eating when we went for lunch, but by the time we left there were several tables filled. We had the anti-pasto buffet which was good, but a little odd because the waiter turned the lights off it and raised the table after I selected my food. The food was good, but not really special. I had the shrimp and they were large (as advertised) but enough overcooked, they were hard to remove from the shells. Not a bad place to have a bite.
Erice is a very touristic village, and found this place for lunch because it looked less touristy. It was very quiet and pleasant inside. The waiter was friendly and fast. The menu choices were varied and many and the food was good, but nothing special. The local pasta dish was quite bland, but the gnocci was nice. Prices were moderate.
This restaurant is located near to the entrance to Erice as you ascend from Trapani. It is a large (by Erice standards) well organised restaurant that is located in a hotel of the same name. Clearly the place caters for groups and tables were set up accordingly. We only needed a snack, though there was a three course 'tourist menu ' for 15 euros that looked very good value. Service was welcoming and efficient and the place was clean and well decorated. Toilets were clean. We would return here as prices seemed reasonable for a restaurant of its kind.
Really nice eating and good service. I love the smokey fish catcher and the pasta.
