For the first time in my life I was invited to a "Stammtisch" in a restaurant. A "Stammtisch" is a table where a number of friends meet for dinner, a beer, playing cards, and discussing the general political situation at home and the world. It is quite stimulating but your hearing and understanding of the language is a must.The food was good, the service perfect and of course you have to drink "Kölsch" which is the local Cologne beer served in tall narrow glasses.It was an interesting evening in good company.

Hier gibt's auch kleine Gerichte, das finde ich gut. Oder einfach ein normales Gericht in kleiner bestellen. Preisnachlass dafür war selbstverständlich. Leckere Cocktails.Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

We have been here a couple of times and have found the food to be of very good quality. The staff are lovely, and service is very attentive. We like the atmosphere here, with many of the tables having their own 'cosy corner'. We would especially recommend either the gorgeous espresso or the delicious loose leaf Earl Grey tea as a perfect way to round off a lovely evening here.. A nice place to go for a traditional German meal, with good sized portions and a reasonable price.
