Bidra med feedbackThe prices for the steak and drinks were too high and not worth it. The atmosphere was gloomy and overall I was not satisfied with my experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I had lunch at a restaurant in November 2018 (which was very quiet). The food quality was decent, but I found it to be very expensive and the ingredients seemed less than fresh. The meal was extremely heavy, leaving us feeling regretful afterwards. It was costly for what we received. The presentation of the food was good, but the quality was lacking. Our meal was brought to us so quickly, it was almost alarming. Is this restaurant struggling to survive? I fear that this may be the case. Not a great experience for me in South Melbourne.
On Saturday evening, we had dinner at 6 o'clock. Our only previous experience with a Hog's Breath Cafe involved a 40-minute wait for our food, so we were pleasantly surprised that this time our meals arrived at our table within 15 minutes. The staff was attentive and helpful. Initially, we were seated at a table with a wobbly leg, but after informing the staff, they apologized and promptly moved us to a better table. As for the meal, it was exactly what we had hoped for and tasted delicious.
Popped in for fast bite before filming for the salt pfeffer calamari entree size decided because I did not for a great expensive meal. I have a karton cone with about 10 oily soggy calamari. also the place had a strange smell....Even the waitress was nice. I'm sorry, but not back.
Dropped in for lunch on a week day and was the standard hogs breath meal. Nothing to rave about but still good and the service was slow and it was not busy, 10 people at the most, I think just disorganised I feel. But all...in all ok.
