Le Bistro de la Gare - Enveitg

Did not expect much from the place right by the station but the pizza was homemade and excellent. Definitely the place to spend an hour waiting for a train.

I have visited this great place twice - it is at the end of the railway line from Barcelona, Perpignan and Toulouse or Foix, with a connection to Andorra. Open from 07:30 to 22:00. It is whatever you want it to be, because the people there are great - as is the varied food menu and the ambiance of casual country living. When nothing else is open - it is and it is right at the gare (railway station). Highly recommended and great value.

Great for breakfast while waiting for the train. EUR 4.00 for orange juice, coffee and pain au chocolat or croissant. Also good for lunch. They close Wednesday evening. No draught beer but a choice of Heineken or Estrella in cans from the fridge

Just outside the Latour-de-Carol-Enveitg station, where Traind from Barcelona, Toulouse & Le Petit Train Jeunne from Villefranche-Vernet-les-Bains meet this is a haven for travellers.Excellent value sacks, meals and drinks.The choice is sufficient from a simple plate of chips, Plat de Jour, pizza, sandwich, cake etc. to a very substantial meal.The quality and taste of the Lamb Chops (cote d'agneu) and Steak (Entrecote) would grace any top restaurant.And everything so affordable.Definitely a place to recommend, thank you to the SNCF Clerk at Villefranche for giving us the business card.This newly established Restaurant deserves to succeed.
