Great food, fantastic service and probably the best pint of guinness in the northeast!

Snuck in at the end of Sunday service and it was a delight! Great Sunday roast and superb service from the staff. Highly recommended

Really good food and not too much on the menu. Shame Its so far out of the way. Lovely beer as well. Only downside was a family letting their boys stamp around. Not the owners fault

I received an amazing recommendation from a dear friend, and we had been wanting to try this place for a while. We were so glad we finally did! The Sunday lunch menu was fantastic, and the main meal was absolutely perfect. I can't say anything negative about this place. The customer service was excellent, and it's family-run, which adds to the homely atmosphere. It was easily the best Sunday dinner we've had in a long time!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Although we had made a reservation, the place was packed, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday dinner with exceptional service. The roast beef was perfect, complemented by delicious Yorkshire puddings and a nice selection of vegetables. I was in the mood for a treat and ended up having three! They also had a great selection of local real ales, served in bottles or glasses. The long journey to get there was definitely worth it, as the setting is truly idyllic. I highly recommend giving it a try!
