Garden State Bagels - Encinitas

The bagels are so fresh and tasty and the service is always so good.

I moved away to Seattle in 95 and miss going there. It was the best bagel anywhere around, much like actual NJ ones. Owners and I became friends but it's been so long I've managed to forget their names. I'm pleased to see they are still in business, assuming they've not sold out. Should I ever get near there I will visit for sure!

Average bagel, cream cheese was flavorless. Honestly you could find better at the grocery store

As a New Jersey native now living in San Diego, I was excited to find a decent bagel shop that offered taylor ham. I ordered a taylor ham egg and cheese bagel and as I took my first bite, there appeared to be something throwing off the entire bagel. The taylor ham, or whatever this pork product was, tasted really bad almost rancid. The overall bagel was really good and was the closest thing to a nj bagel I’ve had in California.

Bagels are great and seemed fresh but do not get any hot sandwiches!!! They are microwaved.
